Undergradute Capstone E-Portfolios

  • LDR3950 Leadership Studies Capstone is the final course in the four-semester LEAD Scholars Academy sequence. Students begin collecting artifacts for their E-Portfolios in their first semester.

​

  • By the time they enter the Capstone course, they will have a cumulative collection of work across 4 semesters.

​

  • Sophomores: On the verge of applying to internships, jobs, and graduate school

 

  • Students create a final E-Portfolio of their leadership coursework and accomplishments

​

  • Developing your E-Portfolio allows LEAD students to reflect on their leadership experiences and courses while creating a digital archive of acquired skills and accomplishments. 

​

  • Student ePortfolios can be used to foster global learning, connections among experiences, and career development.

​

  • E-portfolios can be reviewed by student peers, faculty, and working professionals in the field to provide multiple layers of feedback and diverse perspectives.

The Seven Critical Values within the Social Change Model of Leadership Development.

Consciousness of Self:

Being aware of the beliefs, values, attitudes and emotions that motivate one to take action

Congruence:

Understanding and being consistent with one’s own values, beliefs, strengths and limitations 

Commitment:

The psychic energy that motivates the individual to serve and that drives the collective effort.

Collaboration:

Leadership as a group process; relational

Common Purpose

To work with shared aims and values

Controversy with Civility

Difference will exist in the group; the differences can be accepted and resolved through open and honest dialogue

Citizenship

Not simply membership, but active engagement in community

Civic responsibility which works towards social change
